AiroTEC Conducts Outreach Activities to Educate Youth on PM2.5 Prevention and Promote Health Awareness

Asian Air Quality Operations Center by Space Technology, Geo-Informatics & Environmental Engineering (AiroTEC), Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, conducted outreach activities to provide knowledge on the PM2.5 air pollution situation, its impacts on health, and practical self-protection measures in daily life. The initiative also aimed to raise awareness of the important role of trees in reducing air pollution and promoting a sustainable environment.

 

These activities were designed to disseminate knowledge, enhance accurate understanding, and cultivate environmental awareness among youth, who are a key driving force for future societal development. The programs were conducted at educational institutions in Chiang Mai Province as follows:

 

March 9, 2026, at Sansai Wittayakom School, Nong Han Subdistrict, Sansai District

March 13, 2026, at Nongtong Wittaya Municipal School, Nong Tong Subdistrict, Hang Dong District

March 26, 2026, at Ban Pa Tan School, San Phak Wan Subdistrict, Hang Dong District

 

The activities received strong interest and active participation from both students and teachers, reflecting increased awareness of air quality issues at the local level.

 

AiroTEC, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, remains committed to its academic service mission by enhancing knowledge and understanding of air quality, climate change, and disaster preparedness, while promoting community participation in building a sustainable and healthy environment.
